France – Provence

In the midst of my busiest month of my busiest year yet, I boarded on a plane to Provence in the South of France to spend a few glorious days with three beautiful souls I feel blessed to call my friends. Our intention had been to find the lavender fields & run around with floral crowns on our heads with our hair hanging loose. As it happens, the town took it’s hold on us & we spent our time sleeping, relaxing & eating, exploring the streets of Avignon & seeking out ice lollies to cool us in the heat. Travel photography is fast becoming a love of mine. Seeking out the rawness of a place, taking my camera along for the ride forces me to look, really look around me & BE where I stand. One afternoon we took to the country roads for an adventure, only to be led through high mountains to the very place we had not intended to go… Senanque Abbey is like no other place I have visited & my camera remained firmly closed away in my bag for the duration. Sometimes, being a photographer or not, one must stop moving, breathe the lavender-scented air deep into your body, close your eyes & simply listen to the silence. Nx

If you are planning your wedding in Provence, or anywhere for that matter, I would love to document it for you. Feel free to get in touch here.
